Features in revvis : Main Scene
Open menu Open the pause menu to gain access to system features.
Save Save the current state of the house to be loaded later.
Save as Save the current state of the house to a specifically named save file for later use without overriding the currently active saved configuration.
Screenshot Create a high-quality screenshot in 4k resolution, without UI, to be able to share the screenshot (on Facebook for example) later on.
Undo last change Undo the latest change to the house and correct any errors that might have happened.
Redo last change Redo the latest change to the house and redo any previously undone changes to the house. This enables the user to quickly switch between different material/furniture configurations.
Open height window Open the in-game body height change window which allows the user to change its current body height in-game.
Open bug reporter Open the bug reporter window which allows the user to give feedback about revvis.
First-person view mode Change the current view mode to the first person view. This enables him to walk through the house and see the house from a human perspective.
Orbital view mode Change the current view mode to the rotation view with more overview. This enables him to isolate parts of the house.
Floor plan view mode Change the current view to a top-down perspective in 2D. This enables him to get additional information/statistics about the property.
Catalogue Open the material and furniture catalogue in-game.

Measurement tool Manually measure distances and angles within the house.

Reset surface material Reset the material of any surface to the default white material. After assigning a material, this is the only way to reset a material to default.
Rotate material Rotate the surfaces UV values so any texture applied to the surface is rotated in UV space. Rotation to the left or right allowed.
Shift material horizontally Shift the UV offset on any surfaces material vertically to move the texture of the material in the vertical direction. Shift Up or Down allowed.
Shift material vertically Shift the UV offset on any surfaces material horizontally to move the texture of the material in the horizontal direction. Shift Left or Right allowed.
Sample material Sample the currently assigned material from the surface selected so it may be assigned to another surface.
Open furniture details Open the details view of a furniture piece in the scene directly to view its detail information.

Toggle the light on/off Toggle light state on/off for furniture pieces that have the light behaviour type.

Minimap Gain a floor-plan perspective while in the first-person view to increase the overview of the current position. Should aid in navigation and provide additional useful information.

Minimap: Toggle visibility Hide the minimap panel to disable minimap visibility as long as it is not needed by the user. This increases UI flexibility.
Last selected catalogue items List all catalogue Items, that were used last.
Clean last selected catalogue items Clean the list of all last used catalogue Items. This increases the overview of the user.
Favourites (catalogue items) Mark Catalogue Items as favourites to get to them quickly later.
Used (catalogue items) List all Catalogue items which are currently being used in the house. This gives the user an overview of the current interior assets used in the house.
Catalogue category Go to the item-category (e.g. Lamps, yellow wand colours). The user needs this to get a better overview of all available categories.
Catalogue item Select the item to place it. The user gets a detailed view of the article before it is placed.
Search by name Search for an item by name. This allows the user to skip the selection and go directly to the item.
Search by manufacturer Sort by manufacturer. The user can sort all items within a category by the manufacturer to get a better overview.
Search by price Search by price. The user can search all items within a category by price (e.g. Minimum price range) to get a better overview.
Search by category Sort by a special attribute (e.g. Colour). The user can sort all items within a category by a special attribute to get a better overview.
Sort by Order all items by sorting (e.g. descending price, tint). This allows the user to rearrange all elements for a better overview.


Features in revvis : Main Menu
Close revvis Shut down the revvis application.
Open help panel Open the help window inside the main menu.
Open settings Open the settings window to alter the revvis settings while in the main menu.
Open user panel Open the login prompt to either logout or login to your revvis user account.
Open house list panel Open the main menu house list to start selecting a house to load.
Open welcome screen Open the main menu welcome screen which displays recently added houses and provides a shortcut to certain menus.
Settings open general tab Open the settings panel of the settings to change general revvis settings.
Settings open display tab Open the settings panel of the settings to change display settings to alter the way revvis is rendered to screen.
Settings open input tab Open the settings panel of the settings to change the input settings to alter sensitivities of input and input key binding.
Apply settings Apply the current settings specified and save them to the file to be able to reset them if settings were changed by accident.
Revert settings Revert the currently changed settings which differ from the saved configuration in order to reset unwanted changes.
Reset settings Reset the configuration in the UI to the factory settings so they may be applied later.
Language select Change the active revvis language. This could be useful if the language has to change at any time after the initial setup.
Data directory select Change the revvis data directory where all dynamic data is stored. Useful as the data directory is very large and the user might want to move it somewhere else.
Screenshot directory select Change the currently selected screenshot directory to change the location of saved screenshots.
Autosave Toggle autosave feature on/off to control if autosave is enabled or not.
Autosave interval Change the interval at which automatic saves are created so they can be adjusted to the user's needs.
Body size Change the body height of the player to mimic different body sizes while walking in the first-person mode.
Head bob enabled Change the animation playing when moving in the first-person mode which should mimic head movement while walking so it feels more immersive.
Crosshair enabled Enable or disable the white dot in the centre of the screen while walking around in the first-person mode.
Hints enabled Enable or disable popup hints that revvis displays from time to time e.g. when creating screenshots or savegames.
Show guide Enable or disable the display of tutorial messages explaining the basic usage of revvis.
Cache usage Display the current harddrive usage of the cache and the total cache size to give an impression on how much hard drive space is used by dynamic assets.
Change cache size Change the current cache size to change the available disk space for caching assets locally.
Send usage data Allow disabling the anonymous collection of usage data if not feeling comfortable sending usage data to us.
Debug mode Allow printing additional information to the console in order to investigate problems more in-depth.
Resolution Allow changing the display resolution if it is necessary to change it manually e.g. when changing displays without reinstalling revvis.
Full-screen switch Allow running revvis in a fullscreen or windowed mode based on preferences.
VSync toggle Allow switching Vsync on/off depending on the system used and to prevent tearing if it should occur.
FOV change Change the FOV (field of view) used by the main camera if the user wants to have a different FOV than the default one.
Calibrate brightness open Open calibrate brightness screen manually after the initial setup if a change of the brightness calibration is necessary.
Quality level Change the quality level if experiencing performance issues or to increase the render quality if needed.
Allow high-quality assets Allow download of high-quality assets if the performance of the used machine allows usage of high-quality textures and assets.
Movement speed Change the default movement speed while in the first-person mode.
Rotation speed Change the default rotation speed while in orbital mode.
Pan speed Change the panning speed while in orbital or top-down mode.
Zoom speed Change the zoom speed while in orbital or top-down mode.
Use gamepad Allow usage of gamepads and allow selecting the prefered gamepad.
Select gamepad Change the default gamepad used for input.
Assign a primary key to action To change the primary key mapping for a specific action type.
Assign a secondary key to action To change the secondary key mapping for a specific action type.
Display contact details Get information on how to contact the revvis team in case of technical issues or for enquiries for new projects.
Display revvis news Get information about the latest development on revvis and the latest changelog as well as general information from the company.
Open bug report Open the bug reporter from the main menu to manually create issues.
Open manual Open the wiki which includes extensive text tutorials about the revvis functionality.
Open revvis home Open the revvis homepage in order to quickly open the website from within the application.
Open about window Open the about window to read the revvis credits and license information.
Login Log in to the revvis account to access user account features and houses.
Login remember credentials Remember the entered credentials in order to log in easier next time with the same user account.
Login auto-login Automatically log in with the saved credentials the next time revvis is starting.
Login reset password Open the reset password form on the website in order to reset the user password if it got lost for some reason.
House list Display all houses currently available to the user for ease of access.
House list search Enter text to search for specific houses in the house list if too many houses are available.
Start house Start the house now either by loading the last configuration or starting the house from scratch with a single button.
Fold save list Fold the list of save states to reduce the amount of information displayed in the house list and gain more overview.
Unfold save list Unfold the save list of a house to access and display all saved configurations for the specified house.
Load save Load a specific previously saved state by selecting it directly from the list of save states.
Delete save Delete a specific saved configuration for a house to clean up old, obsolete saved states.
Display house details Get additional, detailed information about a house like a price, address, description, categories.
Create new If a saved state is available to load, force create the house from scratch and do not load the latest save.
Login quick access Get introduced into the login mechanisms and quickly access the login screen if not already logged in.
Recent house list Quickly access the last 3 houses opened and saved to continue editing.
Recent house list start Quickly load the house and configuration last worked on.
Revvis version display Get information about which revvis version is currently used if it is necessary for investigating issues.




Features in revvis : System UI
Select initial language When revvis is started for the first time, and the language could not be auto determined, let the user select the prefered language to use.
Open TOS links View the legal documents associated with the revvis software to be able to consent.
Accept TOS links Consent to the legal documentation and continue using revvis.
Decline TOS Go back to the language selection and not accept the TOS. The user won't be able to proceed using revvis however if the TOS is not accepted.
Scene load progress See the current progress of the level/data load and if remote data is requested the current download speed of remote data.
Hint slideshow Read about tips and tricks on the usage of revvis as well as giving a short tutorial on how to use revvis. This gives the user something to read while waiting for revvis to load up.
Next slide Switch to the next slide of the slideshow without waiting for the automated transition.
Previous slide Switch to the previous slide fo the slideshow without waiting for the automated transition.
Critical startup error display If critical bundles cannot be found or fail to download, informs the user about the error which occurred and suggests to restart revvis now. If any key is pressed during the error display revvis should shutdown immediately.
Custom pointer Get a better understanding of which mode is currently active and which actions are possible by changing the cursor icon.
Custom pointer progress Whenever an action requires a key to be held for a certain amount of time, it can indicate the hold progress to the user.
Input dialogue Enter arbitrary text which may be used by revvis to set user-defined text content e.g. save file names, segment names etc.
Info dialogue Read information messages prominently which have to be confirmed by the user to be closed to convey important information.
Prompt dialogue Allow the user to decide on specific actions whenever there is a user choice.
Tooltips Get additional information about UI elements by hovering the mouse over the element and displaying a description text shortly afterwards.
Screenblock No accidentally clicking on UI elements whenever there is a blocking operation going on which could cause problems if users continued to interact with the scene.
Calibrate brightness Calibrate the screen brightness to properly setup brightness based on the user's display.
Bug report (on crash) Report crashes automatically to us without the need to look for log files and reproduction steps by themselves.
Bug report (manual) Report problems manually which do not cause crashes or give general feedback e.g. for submitting feature requests. User can optionally attach screenshot and log files.
Bug report screenshot Create a screenshot without UI automatically of the currently visible scene and attach it to a report without having to create a screenshot manually.
Bug report enter description Add more information to a bug report and describe the issues that occurred or the feature that is requested.
Bug report switch issue type Switch the currently selected issue type. Either bug/improvement are available.
Hint display Get low priority information about the status of certain things e.g. if a save game has been created or a screenshot taken without blocking the user.
Tutorial display Receive tutorials about the basic functionality of revvis if the software is used for the first time.
Tutorial accept Accept a tutorial and mark it as read so it is hidden and not displayed again.
Tutorial hide all Hide tutorials all together. If the checkbox is enabled before closing a tutorial, tutorials are no longer displayed from this point forward.
